Inversions and alternate chord voicings For P&W, Post Rock, and ShoeGaze guitar styles

Chord voicings you MUST know! Fill your tool bag!

I use these chords constantly with my praise and worship team. They also work great for Post Rock stuff and even Shoegaze styles. The idea here is it gives your guitar a different range to go to other than the low register opened chords, barre chords, or power chords. This higher register retains the power and presence of a good solid chord, and also adds a good bit of tension.

These inversions and alternate voicings talked about here can also be great to compliment another guitarist who is playing chords in the lower registers. Or even an acoustic guitarist who is banging out opened chords. I also think they work great accompanying a very busy, dare I say “over playing,” piano player.

The inversions discussed in the video also add a very nice flavor to what can be “boring” guitar parts! If you ahve any questions or comments please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks and look out for part 2
