So Hot and METAL

be careful with these things, they will melt your face clean off your shoulders! So hot and strong. I installed them in a Made in Japan Jackson Dinky with the original turbo Booster and it is a massive improvement over the stock EMG Hz’s. The pickups do have a clarity about them, surprisingly. Things do get muddy very quick when any type of gain or dirt comes into play. Do not buy these to put on a guitar that needs to cover many styles. Although these do come with leads to make them tap able and that could be worth exploring. These are best for hard rock or full on metal. Anything within this territory is excellent. I do like the country tone I get from these as well. the bluesy funk sound is ok, but there are alot of other pickups that will serve you better if thats what you are after.

PROS

  • Super metal
  • Singing lead tones
  • Pinch harmonics
  • Sustain for days
  • A certain clarity about them
  • Very inexpensive
  • Sound better than EMG HZ’s
  • The price tag, and they are tap able
  • Looks very cool, powerful
  • Coil tap leads

Cons

  • Gets muddy very quickly
  • Not very versatile
  • Packed poorly

Enjoy this demo I made of these smoking hot pickups
